Charleston, WV Highlight
 

I put this short video together for my university to highlight the city we are located in. We get a decent amount of students from out of state so I wanted to show them what we have to offer. Any thoughts, suggestions or constructive criticism?

Hi Brock

You have been doing this for a while now and your work has improved accordingly. I think you should be able to critique your own work reasonably well by now, so what do you see as the issues?

For my two cents worth, I would highlight the following:

Spelling the name correctly on the YouTube upload would help convey due professionalism.

Some of the shots like the jetski, and the dome shots may have been a bit over used.

The auditorium/theatre shot would have looked better with people in the seats.

I found the shot into the sun with the statue (Lincoln???) too hot for the rest of the video.

I hope this helps. Generally I like your work and think that you have used the resources of this forum well to improve your videos tremendously.

I actually haven't released the video yet. The one I posted is unlisted currently so that's why I must have missed the title being misspelled.

I've made quite a few changes since I originally posted this back at the end of August. One of the big changes was showing the dome less. So good call on that. I agreed with your assessment that it was shown a bit too much.

Thanks for the advice on the other shots! I'll actually be releasing the video this week so I'll go make a few more adjustments before I do. Thanks!
