need opinion on Video by 15 year old

hey this is my first time posting so id ont really know what i'm doing. lol

I'm only 15 but i've already made a couple of movies that have one a couple of film festivals so far. I've just made a little surfing video for some mates of mine, which i shot with a Z1P here in Australia, i edited with premiere pro 2.0 and color corrected some most of the footage wit Magic Bullet Editors. I wanted it to look pro but i dont know if it does. It is only a quick video so i didnt go all out to make it look that good and it isnt finished yet. I just need some opinions on the video and what you think of the look and feel of it.

And if you're wondering how a 15 year old kid has Premiere Pro 2.0 Magic Bullet and a HVR-Z1P, i've got 4 jobs that pay good, and a lot of damn hard work and balancing it with school. lol.

This is the link to my video

when you get to the site and if you click on the link but the video doesnt work, just save it to your computer and that should work.

The link doesn't work, I think you gave a bad link, maybe you could post another direct link?

btw: reading your post, you're at least very dedicated, and that's the most important thing!

It seems to work for me, but very slow so I didn't take the time to wait for the 40MB download. It appears that the direct URL is: http://w05.easy-sharing.com/382307/l...Surf Video.wmv

I think there's a blank space between "surf" and "video" and that may create a problem.

(edit) Hmm, that link does the same thing. You need to click on the link you see around the middle of that page to download the movie.

okay this link should work, you just need to save it to your computer.

Do you know what settings i should use to export from adobe premiere pro so that i get good quality but a small file size. and do u know any good site that would be able to host my files. The link above should work though you just need to save it to your computer to watch it.

I thought the editing was pretty good for a 15 year old. But the footage is terrible. Not the shots, but the quality. I don't know if it's a result of something you did in post or what. The subjects are totally blown out. You can't even tell if the surfers are male or female it's so bad. If you could see the detail of the subjects it would be great.

the quality of the footage is bad because of how compressd i had to make it to fit on the web, the quality of the footage in its native HDV format is just stunning if you would be able to help me with my settings for compressing it for the web that would be great, thanks

Nice work!

Part of the reason the highlights seem so jacked up is the sun is behind the surfers. If you were to shoot at the other end of the day so the sun were lighting them rather than backlighting them, it would make exposure much easier, no?

Keep it up!
