Promo trailer for my short film 'The Shadow Asset"

We shot a promotional teaser trailer for our film just as a recruiting video. We are using it to help cast our film. Actors get a chance to see what the style of the film is going to be like so they know what they are getting into. It has worked really well so far.

Check out the trailer. It's on our downloads page.

The link seems to be dead. No response.

Well I checked it a few times. And it is working fine. Are you on dial up? It might take a while to load.

It was alright. The audio was wacked though, seemed to be clipping. I was viewing the quicktime version. Over all nice touch, thanks for sharing,

I liked it, as far as story plot goes it seems nothing new there, but the quality looks good, what cameras are used?

Looks good, played fine for me, (quicktime) I am also curious as to what cameras you used. I also liked the editing, very well done.

I liked the editing as well and the coloring. The night/road stuff seemed to have a Collateral type of feel.

As for story and the monologue/voice over I think it was lacking quite a bit. The concept is a bit contrived (though it's hard to get an accurate feel from the trailer) and the monologue was a mix of stuff structured around other similar monologues and somewhat trite one-liners.

I also kinda felt uneasy when the trailer switched between the night stuff that has a naturally shallower DOF and the day stuff that had a more video feel.

It was paced very well. Tweak the dialogue and you've got a winner.

I shot this with the Canon XL2. I used a little bit of Magic Bullet for some of the shots.

It is actually just a small promo I put together in one day. I just bought the camera and I needed to give it a test. The shots in the trailer are just for the trailer. We are doing a casting call and I wanted to have something to show potential actors. The movie begins shooting in June.

Nice work

Nice work. I like the effort you put in to make the site as well. Stylish.
