OMG, where did you get that music? I found it on a site one time and forgot where it was. I have been looking for it.

Geoffrey Engelbrecht August 5th, 2006 11:21 AM

Hello Adam,

It is Royalty free music from:

Getting a lot of hits but no comments on the film.

Does anyone like it or hate it?

The story is fairly simple but it is meant for a one minute time frame.

Best Regards,

Geoff

I liked it. My favorite shorts are the types like yours where's there no speaking. I think bad amateur actors totally ruin the movie most the time. You could have video like yours that looks great and is shot good, but when they start speaking, it ruins the whole thing. No speaking in yours and it was shot well I thought. Good job.

One of the best examples I have seen recently was this...

I was shot by a 16 year old kid. It's slow loading, but worth it.

Thanks Adam.

I'm working in Germany and don't have Quicktime on my company laptop but I'll have a look at it when I get home.

Best Regards,

Geoff

Geoffrey, good effort but personally i think when shooting a 1min short, people should have no quality issues. If you are shooting a slightly longer film and have a limited buget, then quality issues can be more apperant...due to the lack of money for sets, lighting, props, etc. About your film: you couldve chosen a better place to shoot it..there is a ton of conflicting white balance issues: blue light from window light and ornage light from halogen pot-lights and even a more orangier light from the incandecant added light source.

also for a one minute short, there is a ton of filler footage at the begining that dosnt support the concept of the film.

some of the added audio is a bit crude: too much distortion on the thumps. you need a noise gate of some sort.

concept wise, its not bad. a little un-rewarding and un-original.

Hey Geoffrey,
I enjoyed the film very much. The way you built up the suspense was very cool. I've also posted a film and wonder what you think about it.
Ciao
