Nice job Colin.

I shot one of these Mastercard spoofs a few years ago...

Thanks Bryon, I'm glad you liked it... I did everything from planning to uploading on youtube in a little under 2 hours.

And thank you too Charles. Holy crap, your Mastercard video is hilarious!! What camera did you guys use? It's incredible quality!!!

Oh, by the way, when you post videos on youtube, what size do you compress your videos too? I put mine at 320x240, and I think that made it crappy quality (plus youtube makes it even worse quality).....

Thanks again,

Colin Worley

Mmm, it's sort of "cheating" in a way--we shot that spoof on 35mm with an old Arri MOS camera that I own, and used short ends plus favors on the telecine end, it wasn't that expensive. So as far as making video look like that...the obvious advice is, shoot film!

Youtube is rough looking, I have a bunch of videos on there of short films I've shot but it's sort of lip service really, their compression is just brutal.

Sounds cool Charles... how expensive is 35mm exactly, to shoot on? I heard it's really expensive.. but that's cool about the telecine.

Well, the end result looks amazing!! Great Job on that!

Seriously though, youtube's compression is really crappy! Probably because they have, I don't know, a few million videos on there!!! Lol.... I wish I had more bandwidth on my site, or I would post it there....

Cheers,

Hey guys... too many people were telling me to make it shorter...

Here is a 40 second version rather than a 60 second version...
