We won a contest. We made a video response/thank you to iKlipz.

My crew put together a video during summer of 2006. It was crappy and I didn't expect it to win at all, however, it won me a brand new sony fx7 from iKlipz.com! They asked us to make a fun, creative, video response, and we did. Please comment and tell me if you enjoyed watching this or not. Thanks!!!

sorry, the previous link didn't work, it works now!

Congrats on the win! The response video was funny but it seemed a little long and repetitive to me, but other than that it was good. That's a nice looking studio you've got there.

Some funny stuff in that clip! It was a little rough around the edges and self-indulgent at times but you guys are obviously talented, young and exuberant and bound to do great things. Get to work!!

Considering that when I was 16 my biggest concerns were bangin' my girlfriend, getting a driver's license, and saving my money for a new surfboard, I'd say I'm impressed! You guys are way ahead!

I agree-- the length could be cut in half.

I liked the frenetic but wholesome tone.

The girl is cute (does she have an older sister btw?)

What causes those jaggies on some of the video? Can you eliminate them?

I agree. I'm in my 40's and just getting started in DV. I wish I had the youth and energy of that crew! They are the next wave of filmmakers. With maturity will come discipline...but don't lose the "inner child".

Yes, the girl is very cute...does she have a MOTHER for me?

Steven Gotz January 19th, 2007 09:24 PM

The jaggies are because you forgot to deinterlace the footage. It would look fine on a tube TV, but never put interlaced footage on the 'net.

I guess the digital world of filmmaking got to us because of today's technology. I just learned that I should've deinterlaced the video, so i could take the 'lines' out, but I'm currently busy on another project; maybe in a few weeks. And sorry, my bestfriend doesn't have an older sister LOL!! (she says thanks for the compliment...)

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM AND TAKING THE TIME TO ACTUALLY WATCH OUR VIDEO.

Wow Michael, Crew! You guys are awesome! What you guys are doing now, is what my dream is... I am only a freshman in highschool and trying really hard to get myself to were you guys are. Great job! Keep up the filming and inspiration!

Don't ever quit!
