I thought that was very good! Did you use magic bullet at all?
|
sorry never heard of it, what does it do???
|
Looks very good, but I feel like it goes on for a long time in the beginning. There's no dialog and not a lot happens. Will you be having opening credits over much of that? Because that could help a bit. And maybe trim it a bit. maybe 30 seconds to a minute taken out?
|
I agree. I liked it, but it could be edited tighter. I have that issue with my own work as well.
Still, interesting beginning. Nice work! Mike |
It's just really a assemble edit at the moment but I completly agree with what you guys are saying, Once ive finnished shooting I think I will go back and trim allot of the scenes. Thanks for the comments.

Hi David,
I agree with the others that the first part is a bit long. The shots are beautiful however! Very nice scenery. The camera tracking is well done I think. I presume you used a dolly? There is also very good tension in the shots when the guy is captured. It will be even better with the right music and sound effects. Would love to see the finished film! Oh, Magic Bullet is a tool for colour correction, conversion and other effects (see http://www.redgiantsoftware.com for more info). |
Used the micro dolly for the tracking shots. The film will last 30 mins and will have cost me about £600 to make, we used the 14x canon manual lens for the indoor shots and the standard 16x lense for the outside so we could attach a matt-box. I must say i'm glad the acting hasent had any negative comments as none of the guys in film have ever acted before.

I liked it, it was well shot and the acting wasn't that bad, you do miss the dialogue when its not there but im guessing your friends didn't want to have talking parts?.
Who was it that did the camera work, was it yourself? good job man, and from aother scotsman aswell, thats wot i like to see. Andy. |
yeah doing the camera work my self. Work as a AVID editor so picking up a camera took a while to ged used to.
