The DARK SOULS Thread

Okay, now that things are progressing with my no/low budget feature, I figured it was time to give it its own thread. All future updates will be in this thread.

The second day of shooting was this past weekend. The diary entry is here:

http://www.caliburnproductions.com/Diary03.html

This time there's also a couple of short behind the scenes vids linked to the diary entry. Nothing fancy, just a montage of BTS footage and music (library music. Sorry if it's a bit crappy)

The previous couple of Diary entries can be accessed here:

http://www.caliburnproductions.com/Diary.html

And the main page for the production is here:

http://www.caliburnproductions.com/Current.html

Cheers
Pat

Looks interesting! Loved the BTS footage. I agree about the music though... ;)

Looking forward to seeing more.

Good luck.

PS- I really enjoyed Secret Society.
Well done!

Mike

Hi Pat,

I really liked the stills from "Dark Souls" on your website. It looks very promising!
I'll check back regularly to see how the movie comes along.

I also had a look at your previous productions. I liked "Blackout" best.

Cheers,

Andre.

Hi Pat,

Thanks for the report.
Being busy with the preparations (finishing the script, scouting for locations, trying to find actors) for my first short movie I really enjoy reading your diaries.
It gives me a better insight of what to expect when actually shooting ;)

Regards, Andre.

I've just put a rough cut of one of the scenes from "Dark Souls" up on the website. We're now officially past the two-thirds mark with filming.

I've put up a couple more diary entries with stills and frame grabs from the last couple of weekends of filming. There's also a quick look at some digital make-up effects I'm experimenting with.

We've started playing with knives :-)

Hopefully I'll have a trailer up in the next week or so. It's cut (the trailer, not the full feature) and I'm just waiting on the music :-)

Fwiw, I think the digital makeup effects show very well. Sounds like a great team effort, congrats Pat.
