Music video for the older generation.
 

I heard this song from a band using it as as warm up before sessions.

The budget was zero. Alcohol was used as stimulant.

Seeing that it's out of production season i've decided to shoot something for
the fun of it / no - budget / no - difficult clients / no rules etc.

Working year after year in a client orientated enviroment dampened the fun -
feeling that should be there.

The hangover was huge !

Well, that was a fun way for me to end my editing day. I really like the song. I think you did a great job with the video. Reminds me of those campy videos from MTV in the 80s. Who could not love a dancing gorilla.

Very well done. I watched again to see if there was anything to criticize but I really couldn't find anything that didn't seem to belong the way it was.

AWESOME!

I did look absolutely professional and I would expect to see it on MTV with the best of them. Highly a fan of the genre and the song had a great quirkiness about it. Totally well put together, editing, lighting, cuts, everything. If I were to even dare criticise, I say only like two shots had some funky shadows. The monkey in the Teevee was a killer way to add some old school. I also enjoyed the howling dog and the begining was on point.

Keep making moving pictures, you've got plenty of talent and if the fun is still there.....

I'll understand if you'd rather not say, but after watching it again, I was wondering how it was filmed, ie how many cameras, how many takes etc.

John, Keeping it for myself would "violate" the purpose of any decent forum.

It was shot with 1 camera - xlh1 / I did 13 continuous takes of the band
alone. The non band footage was shot seperately.

I ran 2 Blondes through normal white bedsheets to lift and soften the
ambient light.

The rest was filled and blocked with redheads mostly using the fallof sections of the beam.

Grading / Magic Bullet / Max Contrast.
