FZ2500 full zoom

Quite happy with my Panasonic FZ2500. Needed to be able to zoom in and out around 20x while panning. Focus seems to hold ok. Low light. Around sunrise and shortly after. Panning not too bad considering I'm using a 20 year old Mannfrotto 190 tripod and a well worn 128RC fluid head:

Re: FZ2500 full zoom

Nice stuff. I find " Intelligent Zoom" on my FZ2000 produces quite a bit of noise at max zoom which about 1400mm. More so than did my old FZ1000.

(Some amateur crew on that charter boat! No wetties and no even temporary life jackets!)

Very nice Bill. The video features of those cameras are amazing. Are you happy with the stills you get from your FZ2500?

Re: FZ2500 full zoom

Hi Ron. I don't like electronic zoom either. Pretty much all my work is for the internet so I can film in 4K, zoom to 550 or 600 optical and crop in when I'm editing. Re. the charter boat, they have 'wetties' on board but we're sub tropical so they're only passed out in extreme conditions. Our rain is warm at this time of the year. Life jackets not mandatory as life rafts are on board.

Re: FZ2500 full zoom

Hi Tom. I usually take my stills from the 4K video footage. Perfect for those 'aerials' on the bar as I can pick the most spectacular high point. I have a Nikon D750 for my low light, high res stills.
