Shooting B&W with the Silicon?
Is any optimisation possible to record the best possible monochrome image?
I'll freely admit I don't fully grasp the implications of all I've read about B&W Vs color imaging other than that ideally there's more to it than just loosing the chroma information. Despite my lack of understanding I thought given the resurgence of B&W it's a question worth throwing into the mix. |
Shoot B&W Silicon!
Yes. We are offering Silicon in B&W(Mono).
There are several siginificant benefits for using the Silicon B&W over shooting any of the Y:U:V formats including: Higher spatial resolution (1000TVL+) Higher sensitivity Higher quality coding We expect to see some productions done in mono, including 3D Anaglyphs. |
Cool what is the Higher spatial resolution in Y:U:V format?

B&W Resolution
Quote:
In Monochrome, every pixel can be either black or white, or a unique line. If you look at square resolution, there are 1080 lines. |
