Updates on 'Spoon'

Haven't heard much. Would like to know how editing is going and if any issues with Cineform have come up (good or bad).

Jason Rodriguez October 5th, 2006 04:15 PM

Nope, no issues. Editing is going great . . .

Thanks, I'm very interested in how green screen shots are working out.

What editing program?

What editing programs will work withh Cineform RAW? I use Final Cut Pro, but I always see that you mention Premiere in these forums... What programs can I use to edit footage from SI-1920?

I'm interested to see how the green-screens come out as well, although in our testing, we've found that they key really well with the CineForm RAW codec, since the codec decodes as a 4:4:4 RGB image, especially in After Effects.

So for instance, CineForm RAW would present the keylight keyer in After Effects with a 4:4:4 RGB image which keys exceptionally well.

In regards to Final Cut Pro, look for announcements next month from CineForm.

" CineForm RAW would present the keylight keyer in After Effects with a 4:4:4 RGB image"

just to be clear ... that would be a "10 bit" 4:4:4 rgb ?
the camera records 10bit 4:2:2 RAW ?...

Spoon Updates

Hi everyone,

The Spoon team is ticking over working through the edit and getting the workflow tuned. We've been a little quiet lately but I can assure you we will not stay that way. Just as soon as we have things under control and we enter the polishing phase we will begin posting more stuff.

So far, and with a little distance form the shoot - everything is really looking good. Very, very exciting stuff. Thanks to everyone for your support and interest. We will continue to share our expeience with everyone the best that we can under the pressure wa have to complete. Shot over 260 hours of footage, so the edit is no small feat.

I will let you know when we begin posting post material on the blog and our website www.spoonthemovie.com

Simon
