Cineform capture

If the SI-2k body can capture 2K footage directly to cineform raw, is there any chance you'll be releasing it as a separate device with a hd-sdi/hdmi input for capturing other sources directly to cineform HD? I know that's what the wafian is for, but the SI-2k body seems quite a bit more portable and seems like it could be easily be outfitted with an HD capture card. Of course it might be limited if it only has 1x pci-e internally. Speaking of which, what are the specs on the current SI-2k body?

Another slightly unrelated question: to what extent is cineform capture tweakable to support less capable systems? I know hdlink has low medium and high quality/size settings, but by my (very) brief tests they do not vary in encoding speed by more than 15%, if at all. I'd really appreciate knowing exactly what is required and/or recommended in terms of CPU power for capturing RAW and HD cineform in realtime using a mobile processor. Sounds like a 2.33GHz merom cpu might even be cutting it close, but what about 1.83Ghz as it is 1/3 the price? Can cineform be configured to run stably on such a cpu?

Sorry Noah, I would like to answer these questions, but this stuff is getting into David Newman territory, especially when you're talking about 422 and 444 (not RAW) encoding.
