URGENT HELP NEEDED corrupt file
 

My first wedding with the 4k upgrade on my X70's & the worst thing happened, SD card error during the ceremony.

The data is there, however I dont have the usual XML & MXF file, I instead have an RSV file (2.36gb) & an KLV file (0kb)

Anyone know how I can recover this file???

Download Handbrake and try and convert it to .mp4

Don't mess with the original, download the .rsv to mess with - my first port of call is File Juicer on a Mac - Echo One - Software for Mac OS X, it works on RAW data not file type - don't know of an equivalent for PC, sorry.

I've used this program to recover a 4K .mp4 file from the AX100 after the battery ran out and corrupted the file: aero Quartet: Video Apps and Repair Service

The cost was about $299, but the people at the company were extremely helpful during the process where they basically make a custom application for you. You only pay if it works. Worth a shot.

Panic over - used these guys & it cost $99 for a 4k 5 minute clip - saves me from having a really awkward conversation with the Bride & Groom!! All sorted by Sunday evening.

Thanks for the advice guys & at least if it happens again, we know what to do!
