Scene files on the F-355

We played around for several hours with the scene files on our F355 camera. So far, we've figured out how to load five scene files at a time. But we're quickly developing a list of our five favorite scene files, and it would be great if we could load just those five.

We want to be able to go to the Scene File menu page, and have our five favorites listed, and 95% of the time, select from there. First question....is there any way to load scene files into the camera one at a time, and have them listed on the scene file menu? Are we missing something?

Second question....if you can't load them one at a time, can you put them in some sort of order on the memory card, and then load the five we like the most?

You can load one at a time from a memory stick or in groups of five.

Essentially, you have five memory 'slots' plus a 'standard setting'. Those 5 slots stay in camera memory even after power off.

You can store up to 100 scene files on a memory stick and recall from that list as you wish, in any order, into one of the 5 slots. See the manual on the proper way to name and store the files on memory stick.

Another scene file question....

When you turn the camera on, is there a way for it to automatically go to a certain scene file? Or do you have to access the menu, and enable your scene each time?

Thanks,

Nick

It will always use the last one that was active.

I guess we're just a little bit slow between the ears then, Greg. We have NOT discovered how to load the five specific scene files we desire into the 5 slots you mention one at a time. We have figured out how to grab a block of five, and load all of them in. But sometimes the "block" of five doesn't include the exact five that we want.

Could someone point out some step-by-step directions? Page numbers in the manual? We've looked at the manual, and we must be missing something.

Go to page 154 of the user manual. Halfway the page you can find the discription about how to load scene files from a memorystick.

Tim,

On your memory stick just renumber the 5 scene files you want to 01-05 or whatever system you are using. Once you have them grouped numerically you should be able to load the block of 5 you want.
