will Nanoflash let me shoot slow motion?
Hi there.
I just want to confirm something I am unsure of. If I attach a Nanoflash recorder to my PDW-700, can I record slow motion footage on it - at 50 frames a second without loosing any resolution? Cheers, Sparky |
You would set the 700 to 720p50 or 720p60 and then record that output as overcranked 25/30p. So resolution is 1280x720.

That's a shame, thought it was the case. You might as well shoot 50 frames a second in the camera at 720p. Would have been amazing had it been able to do the full 1080!
Enjoy the show this week and thanks for your reply. Sparky www.sparkymedia.net |
The advantage that the NanoFlash brings is the data rate. When you shoot 720p50 on the PDW-700 the data rate is restricted to 50Mb/s, so in effect you achieve the sane image quality as shooting 720p25 at about 35Mb/s. It's not bad by any means but not as good as shooting 720p50 at 100Mb/s.
