I had the opportunity to test my 350 today in HD format, I been working for the last couple days in SD.
Here is some stills in HD, please let me know anything, I need to improve in order to achieve better quiality in HD.
My settings were:: PDW-F350 with canon SD glass AJ21ax 7.8 @ 5.6, 29.97FPS, used scene file from sony's website (DV Lbeach) by mistake I have this scene preset.

I don't want to sound negative, but in order to showcase HD, you need to find detailed and vibrant color scenes. In your stills, you gave us a brown building with a brown tree and its leaves are brown. The sky is a pale blue ( a polarizer might have helped there).

I know it's a bit early in NJ to have spring foilage, but you should attempt to find something colorful or detailed to evaluate your camera settings with.

I mean this in the kindest way possible. See my attached screen grab from this past weekend. It is my usual 30P at 1/60 with Cinegamma 4 and HISAT preset matrix.

OK for what? That"s part of what art is about. If you are getting the camera to capture the image the way you want, then you are succeeding. The exposure looks ok, but you don't need to use the shutter except for certain reasons. In my example above, I have the shutter set to 1/60 to keep the motion signature that 60i would have while shooting 30P. You should not use shutter to control exposure. That's what the iris and ND's are for. I would have gone with ND 4 and opened the iris a little bit.

The images do look clean though as one would expect with a camera at this level. It's also hard to tell much without seeing images in motion.
