SDI and Component HD cable lenght

Hi,
Anyone know the maximun cable lenght for component HD and SDI-HD?
Thinking to build a HD system with three PDW-F330 using component HD and a Pananonic HD switcher.

We've been going over 250 feet without any issues. Never tested it's maximum.

I recall when Canon introduced the XLH1, their site mentioned right around 330 feet with HDSDI so that sounds about right.

We go more than 1000 ft without any noticeable loss using composite (SD of course).

My experience of component is that you get noticeable loss at high frequencies beyond 75m (225 ft) even with low loss cable. Cable compensation would help. SDi being digital will go much further with no visible degradation, but eventually you will find it simply wont work at all.

Very helpful.
Thanks.
