Dell 19-in-1 card reader and 16gb CF cards at DVinfo.net

Hello I'm new to the MRC1 forum - I picked up a used unit last week on eBay for use with my Sony HVR-V1U. I have a few questions:

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 that came with an internal 19-in-1 media card reader. I'd like to use this card reader if possible, but I cannot find any information that tells me if it can recognize a 16gb card, or the internal data transfer speed (USB 1.0, 2.0, Firewire, SATA etc). I'll need to move it over to my editing computer (Dell Studio XPS 435MT 64-bit Vista system running Sony Vegas Pro). If anyone has a similar setup or can share some knowledge, I'd appreciate it!
