Very nice! :-D

Does HVRDR60 support any camera? For example, a Canon XL-H1?

I am sure it does on a basic level. It will record .m2t files or .avi files. There are certain features that are only going to be available on select Sony cameras.

no TC

If you don't need time code this thing works ok. If time code is important to you then this thing is a waste of your time and money.

For $1,500 you would have thought it would have TC. I have a Z1U and was contemplating the purchase. Now have second thoughts. A little pricey.

Forgive my newbie-ness, but can you explain exactly what you mean by saying the HVR-DR60 doesn't do time code?
