Need opinion regarding DR-60 and others...
 

As some of you have read, I have and have used several Nnovia drives which have worked flawlessly over the years. I need another drive and somewhat going against my previous posts, what do YOU think makes more sense and/or what would you choose? I know it's 'ultimately up to me' but would really like strong opinions as to what might make the most sense for my particular purposes.

Option 1 - (Another) Nnovia QC Deck
>Larger and bulkier, as well as twice the weight of the DR60
>Swappable drives with 120G cards
>Battery lasts about 2-3 hours
>Supports AVI and M2T file format
>Price with 120G drive is about $1900

Option 2 - DR-60 (I had one pre-ordered but cancelled it a while back)
>Small size and light weight
>Long lasting battery options
>Supports AVI and M2T file format
>Only 60G drive....not much if you really think about it
>Drive cannot be swapped
>Camera mountable
>I have and use V1U's but this drive would be used with a Z1U so the onscreen features wouldn't be applicable
>Price is about $1500

Primary purpose of this particular drive - Same Day Edits

I edit with Premiere Pro 2.0 on a laptop and RTX2 on a desktop

The Nnovia drives (and I'm assuming the Sony does this as well) is to create several clips per each start/stop of the record button and for each 13G or so, create a new folder.

How does the DR60 work in terms of workflow when attached to a computer, primarily a laptop? Can the drive run and edit from that or must the files be dumped to the computer?
