Lens field of view, wide angle

CMOS is 3 MP. Only about 1.5 MP is for video. The rest most likely be all used with Super Steady Shot. If that is case, camera will have about 1/3 smaller field of view with SSS on, than in photo mode.

Focal length is like 5.4-54 mm. FX/Z1 has 4.5-54 mm lens, same sensor size. The larger Sony has 32.5-390 mm focal length equivalent.

With steady shot on, smaller Sony should have like 50-500 mm focal length. If will have wide angle mode without image stabilization is to be seen. If that would be the case, total zoom range be about 38-500 mm.

In either case camera will need W/A conversion lens.

This is really a non-issue though, since most every camcorder available these days needs a WA adapter, with the possible exception of the Panasonic AG-DVX100A. A good, high-quality WA adapter is an essential tool no matter which camcorder you buy today.

You have an interesting theory there. Let's see how it develops as more info about these cameras becomes available.
