The multi-coloured, luffy dice camera.

Here we go, have a look at this (if only I could embed it):

Yes, get one, stick some fluffy dice on it and give it to your girlfriend.

Ohh the colour of that microphone hood.

Interesting that the camera comes in Silver and Black. That Wide angle lens sure is big compared to the body.

From what I've read, the U.S. market is only getting the black model. Japan is getting both colors. I have no idea about the rest of the world.

Also, this is the first I've heard about interchangable lenses. Is that on the HC1 or just the professional A1 model?

I don't think those are "interchangeable lenses." They just look like adaptor lenses which screw on in front of the built-in lens, like you can do on any camera.

there's also a 360 view there.

just wish sony would stop using bottom tape loading...they can be a pain if used with a tripod.

i own a dcr-trv50 and am not particularly interested in this new one...going for the big ones (at least the big ones i can afford) canon XM2 on the way!!! :)

this new sony's are just very expensive toys

The lens would be screw on as Boyd mentioned. I thought I would prefer as black version of the camera but this black with silver bits model does look tacky.

Canon where. I thought I read that the Canon was to use a Sony Sensor ages ago. I wonder if it was the FX1 sensor, or this sensor with wider aperture.

I think that photo was using a black lens adapter with a silver camera just to highlight what part was being shown. I looked up those part number on the B&H website, but oddly B&H only have the silver versions ending in "x" instead of the black versions on the website that end in "y".

Since only the black HC1 is currently available in the US, it would be nice if B&H sold the black version. It seems like B&H sell everything, so I wonder if the black version is even available in the US.

I'm just worrying in case I decide I want one of these lends adapters.

Not the lens, I meant the silver trimmings on the black camera look tacky. I think the Silver lens on it might actually be an improvement.
