Sony HDR-HC9 AV- in ?

Hi
I have this Sony cam, but it seems there is NO av- in on this cam.
Is there a work around maybe?
I remembered years ago that i was able to change the HEX, on windows 95 with a special cable ( still have that cable) and also the windows 95 PC.
But...i am a little scared to try it on this cam.

Maybe someone has suggestions?
Make my own cable perhaps?
There is a Sony lanc on this cam.

Regards
Erik

It's been so long since I used my HC9, that I've forgotten exactly how to do an AV input, but I know it can be done. You probably have to use the special, multi-headed cable that came with it.

Pretty sure the only input possible is via iLink. Everything else is out only, IIRC. Page 85.

Thank you

I will try that.
I still like using tape because of the Bumps with ski slopes.
I have sevaral digital cams, but ...

My HC7 has no analog in. You're going to have to get a Canopus/Grass Valley ADVC, then plug that into the i.link port on the HC9.

Old Canon camcorders also had AV->DV function built in.

Forgot to ask:

If the converter is needed to get analoge to digital signal, then i also can use a digital signal directly in to the Sony ??
That would be great

However i cannot find any info on it and neighter any cable.

Thnx for all comments
