Adapter for HC1

Does anyone know if this adapter will work on the HC1?

The other bracket I've been looking at is this one with a handle.

I'm looking to mount a small shotgun mic, maybe the videomic, but possibly something a little smaller. Any insight you have would be appreciated. Thanks

I am using a http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...ughType=search and it is more study and have more cable management than the other two. However there is two things you have to take in consideration - you have to use the touchscreen for controlling the camcorder, and all the buttons are on the lefthand side. This means that any handle have to sit on the righthand side, so you can get to the controls on the left.
All these handles are designed to sit on the lefthand side, as this is most practical for a stillcamera. The handle I m using has the posibility to be reversed execpt for bloking pin on the flashshoe.

I've been using the Besor adapter with my DVC-80 for a long time now. It is very stable and what I have found is that you can move it slightly forward so that it still can be used and you can open up the side LCD. If I am running off a tripod only, I put it usually on the right side to hold my shotgun away from the camera. For $10 you can't go wrong. It is metal not plastic.

One thing to keep in mind when using these type of adapters, is that teh HC1 is a bottom loading camera. So, it could make changing tapes and batteries a pain.

I got the Besor and I love it. It can easily be used with the LCD screen and I found I don't have to tilt it forward like David said. It really makes it a much more stable hand-held camera, and it's a great mount for my Azden SGM-X shotgun. Very high quality metal with a rubber grip, and for $10.95 it's a great deal. Here's a pic of the Besor with my HC-1 (mounted on my tripod for taking the pic):
