Matte box question
Anyone have a matte box suggestion for the A1U?

Jeremiah,
THis one looks great for travel etc, http://www.cinetactics.com/mb100m-compatibility.php but depends on your needs. I have decided to make my own. |
I have a Cinetactics. It's great for a portable setup. You can see it on my PDX-10 here:
http://home.columbus.rr.com/deepblue...al/Studio.html Much MUCH less expensive than others and with the oversized french flag, provides great shading. Happy hunting. |
Sean,
How do you have it attached? Is it to a wide angle, or just the regular lens? Thanks, Jeremiah |
Why bother with a mattebox - just go with filters.
Why bother with a mattebox? I had the same problem that I couldn't find one that would fit nicely with my A1U so I went online and looked at Tiffen 37mm fitlers. Picked up ND1/64 for High UV shots with motion- Circular Polarizer for water and snow shots - UV for safety and general shooting - 4 point star for city scenics - FL-D for flourscents and an Enhancing filter for flesh tones and fall/desert reds. All said in done spent just under $99 on the whole set. Any other effects or corrections can be done in post. What's nice in no bulky mattebox and you can stack 3 of these fitlers with out interrupting the shot.
If you still want the mattebox look take the guide off the supplied shader and attach right over the filter. Good luck! |
