That's unlikely to happen because there was no pro version of the HC1000 either. :) I'm sure that the HC3 has a superior CMOS chip (ClearVID), though.

If the HC1 sales truly drawfed the sales of the higher ticket HDV cameras from Sony, that would seem, to me, to indicate that the general public has a genuine interest in HD, perhaps much greater than generally though. I hope that's true.
