Where to buy A1 in Singapore
 

Hello,
I live in Singapore and a friend of mine asked me if I could buy an HVR - A1 for him. I've been all over town, but all the replies I get (including from sony) is that I can't find it here. Could this be true? (I thought you could find any electronic gadget here! :) )
Do you know of a place where I can buy one? If not, is there a camera that would adequately replace it? Pricewise as well? :)

You can get it easily from a few places but I would recommend the 2 below:

What is the US Dollar equilivant of those prices?

About US$2220. If u r exporting the set you can get a tax deduction but the above mentioned price are pre tax. Tax is 5% here. The refund would be 3%.
