Is Mic input supply +5v bias? Question for DIY Project

Is someone knows if the HVR-HD1000 supply +5v bias for condencer mics ?

I have beachtek xlr adapter, i have sonyhd1000 own mic and a sony PWD530 mic, when i try to connect pwd530 mic to the xlr adapter it not work. but when i connect a wireless mic to beachtek it work's

so the default sonyhd1000 mic will work with battery?! but where is it..

I done some test on the HD1000's minijack plug, and it supply +3v.

The hd1000 default mic is not a phantom mic ?

No, it's not a phantom power mic, also it has only a minijack plug.

ok so what is the bias.... and how good a microphone is this?... and what other microphones run off this cam without using batteries.

thinking of getting this or the panasonic that records to sd cards that is a sholder mount.

I don't understand well ...

Ok,

Maybe someone can explain better than me but I'll try my best.
So, the Bias is only the fixed +3V on the Mic (Plug in Power) used for the original camcorder mic alim.

To use another mic you can choice the mic you want.
- Some needs Phantom Power (not provide on this camcorder), it's necessary to use external unit (ex : Beachtek DXA6)
- some needs internal battery (ex : Rode NTG2)
- Some works alone (ex : Shure SM58)

The last thing is to convert from balanced to unbalanced for this you can use a Beachtek DXA2s.

The panasonic is the... AG-HMC70 the sony is the Sony HVR-HD1000

Guess I need to decide in the next few hours... yes examine the audio on the panasonic also.

The panasonic records to dshc cards and has xlrs but no focus ring. I wonder also which optical image stab, is better? sony's or panasonic?

HVR- HD1000 is HDV
AG-HMC70 is AVCHD

They are not the same HDV vs AVCHD.

It is a hard choice between these cameras... I wonder which is better at lower light.

I probaby need to spend about 8k for a camera to do all I want plus be light sensitive but.... that is more than I have to spend!

I wonder if sony vegas 8 handles the avchd format well too... I know it will work well with hdv.

a pity the ones that fits a couple of the other units will not work with this... I wonder how it interfaces.....
