"Ape stuck inside."

Those of you who have been following thread http://dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=102799 -- my travails in getting my V1 repaired for the last 35 days -- will be glad to know it's back and working and was repaired under warranty.

In looking at the paperwork returned with the cam, I noted the first sentence, which described the problem with the camera:

"Ape stuck inside."

NOW I understand why it took so danged long to fix it.

I'm guessing it wasn't the ape so much as the banana.

Sony should get its act together before they monkey around with repairs.

That's what happens when you send your repair to a Banana Republic.

If I had to wait 35 days for a repair I would be climbing the Empire State Building and shouting at the world.

and batting down little biplanes ... but, remember, the gorilla got the girl in that movie, all I got from Sony for 34 days was the run around. ;=[

I think it's time to stop beating your chest about this issue. I love my V1 so much I feel like swinging in the trees.
