V1E wideangle lens example
 
Hi, can anyone post a coulpe of screen shots showing the difference in view using the official wideangle lens for this camera.... I've heard it's not much wider, but would like to see...

Piotr whats the brand of UV filter that you are using with the Sony Wide angle. I have and Ultra thin filter when I attach the lens hood it will not lock into the groove on the lens.

Though I don't have a sample to post, I would advise you to steer clear of the Century Optics WA adapter for the V1. I bought it assuming it would be as sharp as the one that used to live on my PD150, but after reviewing footage after a shoot I was horrified at the amount of not only edge softness, but soft spots in the middle of the frame. Perhaps it was defective, but I wouldn't take a second chance.

Brian,

I am using the Hoya Pro UV 62mm without the wa adaptor and it fits under the stock lens hood. I'm informed the Hoya Pro 86mm UV does fit under the wa adaptor lens hood, but haven't tried it personally.
