Dust in my V1

My trusty 3 yr old V1 finally gave in to nature...

I've got a dust spot trapped in the lens...

Any trick on how I can get rid of it? Besides sending it in for servicing? Ouch...

Will it be a recurring problem hence forth?

Any advice would be helpfull... Thanks

Kin

I have noticed specs of dust inside the elements of my BetaCam lens but I have never been able to see any effects of the dust on the video output. It seems like dust would be more critical on HD cameras. Can you see the results of the dust in your video? If you can, I don't think you have any choice but to send it for service.
