stage and theatre

Just wondering how the v1 will handle the lighting for stage and theatre productions.

Currently using a gl2 and depending on the light there is a blooming effect as the ccd's are slow to react to the changing intensity of the stage lights. Typically I have the camera set to spotlight recording mode and have also tried various manual settings.

Will the cmos handle the lighting better, worse or the same. Also will the results be the same at all frame rates?

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Well of course I haven't tried the V1 for performances (not shooting with a Z1 for that). But if the CMOS does have more latitude, which appears to be the case, then that would be a good thing. But reduced light sensitivity wouldn't be a good thing....
