V1 in 24P DV mode?

Wondering if the V1 will shoot 24P in 480 DV mode. The manual reads 1080 HD and nothing about 480.

I'll check when I get home and see if that is possible. I've not ever put my cam in DV mode.

I still shoot a lot of material @ 480. Though, I've been thinking of getting an HDV cam for a few special projects. I'd like to have a cam that does both 480 and 1080 in 24P.

Seems to. You can set it to record DV and it still has the options for 30p, 24p and 24a. Did it for a job that I thought was HDV right up until the director said "But I'm shooting DV!!!!!" while we were setting up. Set it to DV 24p, shot his interviews and gave him the tapes. I hope it worked. (!) Never got to try it out and see how it looked in post.

Aloha,
Chris

Somehow I missed seeing this post. Yes, you have the 24/30p options in non-HDV shooting modes.

Awesome. Thanks everyone.

help!

im going to be doing a project in dv 24p but when i go to import footage into FCP 5 it will not recognize the camera. Im using my v1u to import the footage, but when i set the capture settings to NTSC 24p it says it cannot find the device? When i change the camera back to HDV and the device settings to HDV 1080i60 it works fine. I dont know if my device settings are setup wrong in FCP or what? Hopefully someone understands what im talking about.

What do my settings in FCP need to be?
What do my camera output settings have to be?
