Yes, because it's 1080i60/24p. No, because if you are looking to edit at 24p the pulldown is not removed. This likely will change this month.

So how do people edit their footage if they're shooting 24p with the V1U?

Vegas does a very nice job. Edius has been mentioned in this forum.

In that case, I'll add that Cineform is perfect.

Whether you're using AspectHD for Premiere Pro or NeoHDV for Sony Vegas, it's amazing.
