V1U Sound: Independent volume control per channel?
 

OK, with Sony Z1U I could connect 1 mic, and the sound would be recorded to 2 channels with independent volume settings per channel.

I could even have one channel on auto and another on manual.

I usually keep one channel hotter than the other.

How to do the same thing with V1U?

Unfortunately Alex, it's been established (to our great disappointment) that with the V1, it doesn't work this way:
