In need of help exporting SD 24P from a PC to a MAC

I'm trying to figure out the best (most correct) way to get the 24P footage off my camcorder and put it into a MAC-friendly format.

I did the original recording in 24A mode on my camera, but my capture options in Cineform were assuming I wanted HDV, and in this case I don't really.

The footage we just shot needs to be edited in SD on a MAC, and so I thought the best way to achieve this was to downconvert on the camera, and wind up with 24P file (after an inverse telecine process).

Now I'm using Vegas, and everything is capturing fine, but I am wondering how easy it will be for me to burn this file to a disc and have my friend open it into his FCP 5.1 timeline.

Am I better off capturing HDV, removing pulldown with either Aspect HD or Vegas, and then exporting an SD version from my timeline and burning that to a DVD? Is there a mac-friendly format I should be exporting to?

I know there's some MAC experts here that can nail this one down for me :)

P.S. If it's not obvious, it's not feasible to capture directly to his Mac with the FCP workflow suggested by Steve Mullen, because he lives in a different city and I need to send him the footage.

Bump, I could use an answer for this as well.
