Z1 mic holder. Stupid question, simple answer?

When using a Sennheiser ME66 or Beyerdynamic MCE87-NCS shotgun with a Rycote softie attached, it gets into view in the upper right corner of the video when fully zoomed out, let alone when attaching a wide angle.

Are there any alternatives, apart from using the accessory shoe, which gets into the way of the flip out LCD screen, to get the mic positioned somewhat higher? I thought Rode has the SM5 suspension, but they are difficult to get over here.

What would you suggest?

I use this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...and_Sound.html

along with a shotgun mount. It is a little bulky, but I haven't had a chance to fashion my own hotshoe mount yet.

John,

That was the one I was looking for. I remember having seen the link here before but could not find it. Thanks and a happy New Year.

Steven,

Thanks for the quick reply. I already have that one, but in this case it did not fit the bill for my intentions, island hopping in the Caribbean on a sailing yacht, where I need both shotgun, wireless mic and on camera lighting. I will use your suggestion as well for the other two items. Happy New Year to you as well.
