Hi Niall,

I work in north western Australia and use a Petrol rain cover for my employers Z1P, but the one you link to looks much simpler and quicker to use.

I personally own a PD170 and use a Lata cover for it, which seems to be very similar in construction.

From experience anything that allows you to quickly cover the camera without having to fiddle about too much gets my vote, keep it simple!

We use the Kata Covers (CRC-15) and they work pretty well too.

I've bought 3 of the Efoton rain covers for use with our Z1,s and found them great in the rain. Can't use the Rode mic with them though but if its raining...!

just playing around with the petrol cover today.
I find that it zips the whole thing nice and tight, but bugger me if you could ever get to the iris and zoom if that was the case. I have found it best to leave it unzipped down the bottom and get to stuff quick.

i like the way the one you have shown there has those sought of pocket things to get in there nice and easy.
I dont know if the petrol one is water proof or just resistant either.

nice product...
