CMOS Help from Adobe?

I have an idea..

Why can't Adobe or someone else from a third party company create a feature that searches the timeline for flashes of light and inserts markers or actual single frames over the partial flash frame caused by the CMOS chips during flash photography or other stobing light? If they are slick they can even vary the color of the flash based on the light causing the flash like a fire truck with a red flash etc.

This seems relatively easy to do since the software would be looking for a partial frame not just a bright spot. It's a video filter that has the ability to search like you do with audio and removing pops etc.

This would put all the issues to rest with CMOS until they can invent a new chip or shutter system to solve this issue.

If we can't fix it in hardware, turn to the software guys!

'New Blue' video fx have an effect 'flash remover' that sounds like it does what you are suggesting.

That's a great feature, but I don't think it would work just yet.

The frame they are showing as an example is coming from a CCD image which lights the entire frame. The issue we have with CMOS is that the frame is lit partially.

So if the filter is adjusting the entire frame down in levels to match the one before and after, it would not work with CMOS. That would make the bright part look better and the normally lit part go to black.

Maybe if the company modifies the filter to ADD a flash not delete that would work. I am not as much trying to always remove it but if they could from the CMOS image tha twould be great.

Thanks for pointing me to that.
