It looks legit (I guess??), so what we have here is 2004 -- expensive at $15,000 HDV camera worth investment.

However, next year is 2005 and we'll have a $10,000 - 3 CCD HDV camera!

Sorry, it is not an HDV camera. No tape mechanism. It is just for broadcast applications.

Yep, it's just a camera head, no recording mechanism.

Sony's not going to give you 1080 for 8k...

...but a 720 cam is coming too.

But at $15,000 for HD wouldn't it still be intersting to just add a HD recorder and you would have a relatively inexpensive high quality HD solution?
Or am I missing something?
