Karel please post a link to the original discussion at that UK forum -- and please invite that person to share their thoughts with us directly right here -- thanks,

I'm a bit surprised by the deletion - I didn't mention the guy by name, and nothing he said was particularly controversial, but i thought that the first impressions of someone with a PAL version of the camera would be of interest to folk here. Oh well...

The forum is shootingpeople.org - a forum for indie film-makers in the UK. It's a subscription based one, so you can't just log in, and most of the posts are local to the UK and really wouldn't interest most of the guys here.

I'll mail him and ask him to join you guys here.

Hi Karel,

It's not a question of whether it's controversial -- it's more of an issue of copyright. Generally speaking we don't allow content from other message boards to be lifted verbatim and posted here. It's not fair to the other board. I wouldn't want other sites doing it to us, so we're not going to do it to other sites -- it's just an issue of having respect for the content of another site. We'd really need to have their permission to quote one of their posts word for word.

<< I'll mail him and ask him to join you guys here. >>

We'd welcome that very much, thanks!
