Weight of the FX1?

Hey guys, hope you all had a good holiday.

The time has come for a "real" tripod. This $30 sony one for some reason just isnt cutting it ;)

I was looking at this Sachtler. The only heads I like better are O'connor...but there is a bit of a price diff between the two :P

It seems cool, but the max weight of the tripod is 7.9 lbs. It mentions it supports the VX, GL1, DV300U etc but I am wondering if it will support the FX1.

I have been searching these forums as well as the web and havent found a simple answer of how much the FX1 weighs.

I would rather be safe then sorry (i.e, I will probably not buy the tripod if the camera weighs 7.5 lbs). I guess we should keep in mind additional accesories that will add weight (XLR's, mattebox, telephoto etc)

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks =]

(edit: stupid laptop non ergonomic keyboard...cant wait to get home)

thank you very much Chris! =]

for anyone too lazy to read, the weight (with battery) is around 4lbs, 10 ounces

I think this tripod will work, I just wonder how much (if any, really) weight will be added with the use of accesories/lenses etc

Keep in mind, adding the WA adaptor, or probably any lens add-on will just about double the camera weight. I think the sony .8x is like 4 or 5 lbs.
