Spot is the man when it comes to HDV! Just check out his excellent book on the subject that I'm still reading, and loving, and will do a review on it!

And as the FX1/Z1, HD10/HD1 and the HDV Acquisition boards grow, it's great to have such a talented guy on board to sift through the posts as everyone continues to jump on board (pun intended)!

I meant to get this notice posted last night... we're really very fortunate to have D.S.E. helping us out with our HDV boards, as he was one of the first people in the U.S. to get hands-on training directly from Sony with the Z1. Spot has been a tremendous asset to our Audio Production forum, and now it's great to have him here with us on our HDV boards as well!

I for one am pleased to have the technical knowledge (and extra help keeping up, <g>) that Spot offers!

Also joining us on the FX1 side of things is Mike Tiffee, a highly experienced Technical Director whose list of accomplishments in the broadcast realm is about as long as my arm and includes a couple of Emmy nominations and an Emmy for Editing.

FWIW, I don't have an FX1 like some of the members here do, we've purchased a few of the Z1's for what we're doing.
anyway, looking forward to being of help when I can.

I for one am really thrilled about this! the FX1 and Z1 are powerful cameras, and the three of us will be able to give the best info that we can! esp. you Mike and Spot!
