Trying to take audio only out of the HVR

I have a connection set up right now with the component cables where i am only getting video into my digibeta, using to AJA boxes as downconverters. I would like to bring in audio at the same time, but i can't figure out how. I am thinking about going from the headphones into the deck, but that seems like a bad idea. Any suggestions?

use the composite video adapter's audio. That's how I get it out when I'm viewing stuff from the cam on an HD monitor.

Why the AJA for downconvert? Are you happier with their conversion than the cam's built-in down convert and component out?

i don't want to sound stupid, but which adapter is that? there's nothing in the manual about a composite video adapter, so i figure it's the A/V adapter.

that's the one....it has composite out and stereo audio out...

ok, so here's my problem...i'm going out of my boxes and into the digibeta deck through SDI IN. With SDI IN, i don't think that you're allowed to take any other audio in seperately. I think that once you're going SDI IN you have to have your audio running through that setup. So my original plan to run audio out of the composite connection of the camera to the analog inputs of the digibeta probably won't work. Any other suggestions that could possibly help? Thanks.

Lose the downconverter boxes...unless you don't have a component in on your deck. Ours had component and SDI in/outs. Use the camera to downconvert to NTSC component. I doubt you'll see any/much difference since you were coming out of the cam's component anyway.
