z1 and polarizer question

I recently got the Cinetactics Matteblox Anamorphic for my Z1, and had a question about getting a polarizer filter for it:

I've got a Tiffen UV filter that stays on the camera all the time. I have a 72mm Tiffen Circular polarizer from my photography bag that fits on the Z1 but I can't fit the lens hood on it with both the Polarizer/UV filter on. I know i could remove the UV and stick just the polarizer on and replace the hood, but the conditions of the locations I'll be at (blowing sand, salt air) I'd prefer to keep the UV on to protect the lens

So I started looking at 4x5 linear polarizers to fit in the matteblox and found this at B&H:

Has anyone used this or recommend something else?

Thanks in advance

I have a similar problem. As I believe, most of us do.

Except the polarizer I bought does not allow me to put the hood back on, and even if I could, there would be no way to turn the lens. So What I want is a new hood that allows for a polarizer somehow.

Not to mention, where do I find a lens cap for the Sony polarizor sold at B&H? With no hood, I need a lens cap.

I thought 1 of the advantages of a polarizer was that it acted as well as a UV?

The question is not whether the Polarizing Filter acts as a UV filter.

The UV filter is a filter one tends to leave on all the time. Taking it off to use the Polarizing Filter, especially in extreme conditions, leaves your optics exposed to the elements.

Only for the moment between taking off the UV and putting on the polarizer. It would be nice to just slap on the polarizer, but it does not work that way.
