FWIW, that site loads really slowly for me, and evidently there are supposed to be photos in the article which don't load at all. Then there are "connect timed out" messages sprinkled within the review itself....

Sorry to read that Boyd. It works for me, as well all the photos downloaded too! It's a great review.

Boyd, didn't you buy the Z1. If so you made a great choice. The 1080 image is stunning. De-interlacing in post so far looks excelent as well.

It still isn't loading, but I was able to read the review text earlier... maybe it's a "Comcast thing" (my ISP)...

Yes, I just got a Z1 and am heading out to shoot some sunset skies and soaring birds right now :-) I like the camera a lot and am glad to see Sony refining their prosumer line with some great upgrades over the previous models. I posted my first impressions in this thread:

Would be curious to know if you have tried to capture the 576p or 480p component output I describe above. 480p looked fantastic on my widescreen LCD panel, and seemed like a nice compromise for those of us who aren't ready to work in HD quite yet. Too bad we can't get this format over the firewire port.
