Some really fantastic footage shot with the FX1E a must see.
Hello
I come across another forum and found this fantastic video shot with the FX1E in cineframe25 mode, it’s a must see the footage really is great. http://www.luxmemories.lu/examples/amneville.wmv |
That looks really good. Some of the shots are quite filmic, others can't avoid the usual overexposure.
Probably the best I've seen from FX1 so far. |
Just how BIG is this file? Hmm??!? G
|
200 megs.
Pretty big but worth it. |
Yes it was! - I'm giving up . .. G

Personally iv seen a lot of footage shot with the FX1 but when I came across this it really amazed me of what this camera is capable of delivering in terms of picture quality and colour and depth. It’s a 200mg file but well worth the download like already said the footage is just stunning.

I'm suitably STUNNED! As running straight at a brick wall and not knowing it was there . .. . G

Actually, this didn't really leave an impact on me as FX1 footage. Some of the best I've seen is here:
http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=47935 which was shot under water with the Amphibico Phenom. -Steve |
cool
This was some really nice footage, what stunned me the most is the wmv encoding, normally i've personally disliked wmv as a format. The reason that i disliked WMV is that it always tend to make footage soft and "mushy", but this footage has given me some new hope, I shall revisit wmv again.
Anhar Hussain Miah I have seen some footage of the FX1 + G35 adaptor and it was the best i've seen, it looked exactly like 35mm on SD DVD (dont know about the HD version, since I only watched the web compressed version and upscalled and CC to SD DVD it stilled looked great!) |
For Steven White, I edited your post... we had the same thing as the other site you referenced, so I replaced it with our own link. Thanks for understanding,

Hey, thanks Chris - I hadn't seen it here.
WMV really is a good format. The problem is, most people try to take too much advantage of the compression, and bit-starve the codec. Reports are that H.264 is significantly better, but the encoding times get ridiculous fast. -Steve |
Steven,
Happy to report that I have transfered a minute of these underwater footage to 35 mm. It was cropped to Cinemascope AR and was superb on a 30ft screen. I have sent a copy to Paul Wags, who send me the raw footage and I am waiting for his responce. |
