My FX-1: Dead, anyone else have this happen?
 

Hello, everyone. I was just wondering if anyone else has had their fx1/ Z1 stop working? Specifically, it will not turn on or power up. Nothing happens. I have tried different batteries, power supplies, hitting the reset button, letting it sit unplugged, w/ no batt. then plugging it in again. No luck. I am set to mail it in later this week.

I tested the batteries and power supply on other Sony cams and they work. The FX1 was just sitting on my desk when it stopped working. Sat. night it worked, Sun. morning it didn't.

Anyway, this is not meant to bash. I love my camera, and am missing it dearly. I was just wondering if anyone has had anything like this happen.

Yep, 15 days out of warranty (labor).

Had to send it in. 3 weeks and $250.00 later it works again.

That sucks. Did they tell you what was wrong? Also, how long did it take?
