1080i/50i PAL TO NTSC? Please help
 

Dear DV forum members:

I need some help here. I rented 2 weeks ago a Sony HDRFX1 camera and shot some footage in 1080i/50i. I sent this footage to Spain, but know I need to transfer this footage to my NTSC system here in Mexico.

Can anyone tell me if I can capture via firewire the footage I shot in 1080i/50i and then render it in my computer so it becomes 1080i/60i or 720X480 NTSC color system? Does this procedure work? How good does it look?
